Happy Mother’s Day

In honor of my first mother’s day- this is a quote from one of the most amazing books I’ve ever read- Kisses from Katie by Katie Davis. At only 18 Katie followed God’s call to Uganda on a mission trip. Shortly after she felt the Lord leading her to live permanently there working in an orphanage and then later adopting 14 little girls. This girl is is truly in love with Jesus.
A few more words from Katie:”People tell me I am brave. People tell me I am strong. People tell me good job. Well here is the truth of it. I am really not that brave, I am not really that strong, and I am not doing anything spectacular. I am just doing what God called me to do as a follower of Him. Feed His sheep, do unto the least of His people.”
“Suffering. Rejoicing. Squalor. Beauty. Love. Pain. These are the things that surround me, and all of them are from Him. This life is beautiful and terrible and simple and difficult, and He is using it for His glory.”
Definitely read this book- or at least check out her blog: http://www.kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com/ it is life changing! You can read more about her ministry here and become a part of helping out: http://www.amazima.org
Sarah + Corbin’s vintage teal, yellow & grey custom wedding invitation suite
FEATURED IN: Kentucky Bride Magazine May 2012 Issue
Let’s just say I have been dying to post this wedding invitation suite I designed for Sarah & Corbin. This was created with the vintage bride in mind. Bold typography paired with splashes of deep teal, sunshine yellow and neutral grey gives this suite a modern twist. The complete set includes formal invitation, RSVP postcard, custom map, address labels, printed envelope liner, wedding program, table number, candy buffet card and custom wedding poster. Not only was Sarah an awesome bride to work with, but she’s also a sweet, sweet friend!
Jenny + Andy music poster inspired wedding invitations & stationery
Hello 2012 wedding season! This is one of my favorite projects so far this year. Working with this couple was great. Andy was a creative groom who loved the look of vintage Nashville letterpress concert posters, and wanted the invitations to reflect that style. We used a plum, split pea green with grey to make their invites really pop. This set included a formal invite with metallic purple envelope, a custom return address stamp, a RSVP postcard, Save-the-Date, stationery & thank you notes.
